HPD’s 4WD Nissan Patrol GU ZD30 CRD series 2 intercooler kits have been designed as the factory intercoolers are prone to leaking from where the end tanks are pressed together to the core with a rubber O-ring between, hence the reason why they do and are very likely to leak and cause engine running issues. HPD have designed a larger and more efficient intercooler kit with a 10” thermo fan bolted underneath to keep cool at low driving speeds.
The factory ZD30 intercooler core size is 170x250x60mm, giving a surface area of 425cm², and a volume of 2550cc.
Our Series 2 intercooler measures 450x300x76mm, giving an improved surface area of 1350cm², and a larger volume of 10260cc.
That's an increase of over 3 times in surface area cooling, and FOUR TIMES the charge air cooling volume!
HPD’s intercooler kit improves torque and power just on its own but really show’s it potential in keeping cooler intake temps and egt’s when engine tuning modifications come into play. These top mount intercoolers are great right up to 180kw’s at the wheels.
