The ProVent Ultimate Catch Can kit protects the diesel engine by substantially reducing the amount of oil entering the engine from blow-by gas in the crankcase ventilation system.
PROTECTS AGAINST COSTLY REPAIRS AND POOR PERFORMANCE
The issue is exacerbated by newer engines equipped with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems, which redirect a portion of the exhaust back into the engine. As oil from the crankcase ventilation system is also present, the exhaust particles are accumulated by the oil. This mixture of oil and exhaust particles from the EGR can accumulate to the point of obstructing inlet manifolds and valves, leading to decreased engine efficiency and potential malfunction.
HOW IT WORKS
The Direction-Plus ProVent Ultimate Catch Can system effectively separates and redirects blow-by gas, preserving oil and air within the crankcase. This kit also offers the option to return oil back to the sump. Failing to install this system can result in a gradual decrease in engine performance.
